Only cattle classes 17-21 will compete for the Commercial Champion Animal.

Cattle - Opening Notes

Judging will commence at 10 am. Weighing of classes: 8.30 - 10.00 am Weights will be determined using the official Oldcastle Show scales only. Entries will be weighed once
Please read the Oldcastle Agricultural Show Rules & Regulations:
Championship winners will be photographed with their cups on show day; cups will not be removed from the show.
Vouchers or products may be given instead of money.
Prizes: 1st, €100 & rosette; 2nd, €60 & rosette; 3rd, €40 & rosette, or as otherwise stated.
5% ISA levy, unless otherwise stated.
Rule 10 applies.

Commercial Cattle Classes - Opening Notes

Calves competing in the following classes that are overweight will be entered in the next suitable class. In the case of a bull calf above 410 kg, there is no class available.
Prizes: 1st, €100 & rosette; 2nd, €60 & rosette; 3rd, €40 & rosette, or otherwise stated.

No entries permitted on day of event.

Qualifying Classes
Class 17: Best Cross Bred Suckler cow with calf at foot
Class 18: Best Cross Breed Heifer suitable to make a suckler cow with not more than two permanent teeth
Class 19: Best Bullock or Heifer suitable for producer group.
Class 20: Best Butchers Heifer under 500kgs
Class 21: Best Non-Continental Breed Bullock or Heifer
