The ISA & Tullamore Show Society Presents this Championship
RULES & CONDITIONS
1. This competition is to encourage growers to exhibit fruit & vegetables from their own kitchen garden or allotment & promote the benefits of eating locally produced food.
2. Each exhibit must consist of a display of fresh, in-season fruit & vegetables, excluding potatoes.
3. The display must contain between 7 -10 kinds of fruit & vegetables. The display must contain a minimum of 2 kinds of fruit. Tomatoes are classified as a vegetable for this competition. Foliage & root growth may be trimmed for display purposes, & herbs may be included as garnish
4. Vegetables & fruit must be displayed within area not larger than 610 mm x 610mm (24" x 24"). Foliage & roots may extend beyond that boundary but not rest on the show bench.
5. Exhibitors may use their own staging board or container at qualifying shows.
6. At the final, all qualifying exhibitors will be supplied with a uniform 610 mm x 610 mm (24" x 24") container for the presentation of their fruit & vegetables. Use of additional staging, containers, plates, boards, or accessories is not permitted.
7. At final, qualifying exhibitors may set up their displays on Sat evening 6:00pm & 9:00pm & Sun morning 7:00am & 9:30am. Exhibits must not be removed before 5:00pm on Sun.
8. The marquee opens from 7.00am on the show morning & will be closed for judging at 10am sharp. The marquee will open to the public at 12 noon.
9. Exhibits cannot be removed before 5.00 pm. THE COMPETITION WILL BE JUDGED AS FOLLOWS: Variety (Irish in-season produce): 25 points Condition & quality: 50 points Overall presentation and attractiveness: 25 points PRIZES 1st €250 - 2nd €150 - 3rd €100 - 4th €75 - 5th €50 - 6th €25 Entry Fee: Final € 6. QUALIFYING SHOWS: Adamstown, Arva, Athlone, Charleville, Clogher Valley, Cork, Corrandulla, Dungarvan, Dunmanway, Enniscrone, Erris, Flavours of Fingal, Gorey, Granard, Kilgarvan, Mullingar, Omagh, Riverstown. FINAL: TULLAMORE SHOW, Sun 9th Aug 2026

All exhibitors must pay at the gate.
First-prize winners from Classes 77-95 (excluding Class 93) will compete for the Betty Porter Perpetual Cup, which will be awarded by the judge.
1st Prize: €15, 2nd Prize: €10; 3rd Prize: €5
