THE ISA & Virginia Show Present This Championship
RULES & CONDITIONS
1. In this competition, the produce must be the property of & grown by the exhibitor.
2. Each exhibit is to consist of the following: A dish of 5 onions of any variety.
3. The onions may be grown from either seed or sets.
4. The onions may be autumn- or spring-sown. The variety is to be correctly named.
5. Each onion must be tied & weigh not more than 450 grams.
6. The onions are to be harvested & have clear, unbroken skins.
7. A special qualifying class will be held at selected shows.
8. Two exhibits may qualify at the show if the judges agree that the standard is high enough.
9. An exhibitor can only qualify one exhibit for the All-Ireland final. The competition will be judged as follows: Condition / Quality: 25 points; Uniformity & Shape: 25 points Size / Weight: 10 points, Colour: 10 point Overall presentation / attractiveness: 10 points The judge's decision will be final at all stages of the competition. Exhibits are displayed at owner’s risk. These rules should be read in with the ISA Rules. PRIZES: 1st €200 – 2nd €125 – 3rd €75 – 4th €50 – 5th €25 – 6th €25.
