1: Qualifier: All Ireland Traditional Handmade Craft Final

                                   THE ISA & BALLYSHANNON AGRICULTURAL SHOW PRESENTS THE FOLLOWING
RULES & CONDITIONS
1. All items must be the sole work of the exhibitor.
2. Each exhibit must consist of 1 Article from point A plus one other article from points B, C or D, making a total of 2 articles: a) Any article using tweed, e.g., a picture (min. size 12" x 12") - Max Size 18”x18” (excluding the frame & mount), Cushion (Min Size 16"x16") -Max Size 18”x18”) or skirt (Adult size only) b) Any article in coloured or self-coloured embroidery made in the current year. c) Hand-knit cardigan, lumber jacket or jumper (adult size only). d) Any article in cotton crochet using no thicker than a No. 20 cotton thread.
3. All the above to be made in the current year
4. The items to be displayed as one exhibit
5. Any item the judge feels is made by any other method other than hand shall be disqualified.
6. A special class will be held at each qualifying show.
7. 2 entries may qualify from each qualifying show for the final; if judges agree that the standard is high enough, a 2nd entry may qualify. The qualifiers from each of these shows will go forward to the final to be held at the Ballyshannon on Sun 16th Aug.
8. Each of the successful qualifiers will receive a rosette on appearance at the final.
9. The judge's decision will be final at all stages of the competition.
10. Exhibits are displayed at the owner's risk.
11. These rules should be read with ISA general rules & Ballyshannon Show rules.
12. Exhibits must be in place for judging by 10.30am on Sun, 16th Aug 2026.
13. Exhibits cannot be removed from the final before 4.30pm.
14. An exhibitor can only qualify one exhibit for the All-Ireland final. It's important exhibitors check measurements stated under the Rules & Conditions
PRIZES: 1st: €300 &; Perpetual Trophy 2nd €200 – 3rd €100 – 4th €60 – 5th €50 – 6th €40 Entry fee: €3 To qualify for the show, it's €6 to the final QUALIFYING SHOWS Ardara, Arva, Athenry, Ballymoney, Bonniconlon, Carbery, Carnew, Castleblayney, Castlerea, Castlewellan, Clogher Valley, Clonmany, Dungarvan, Glencolmcille, Gorey, Manorhamilton, Meenacross, Mullingar, Nobber, Saintfield, Tullamore. Exhibitors must pay at the gate.
Exhibitors who do not pay the entry fee will not be allowed to compete, & any fees already paid will be forfeited.
This includes exhibitors leaving exhibits in the Show Hall on Show morning. Wristbands will be distributed.
**All entries are to be submitted on www.oldcastleshow.ie..**
** Entries will not be taken on the day **
All Hall exhibits must be in their place at 9 am on Sunday, the 19th of July.
No exhibits will be admitted after this time.

Please read the Oldcastle Agricultural Show Rules & Regulations:
Judging will commence at 10 am. No persons will be allowed to remain in the
Show Hall while judging is in progress, except for those officially retained.

The Committee will not be responsible for exhibits after 6 pm
In the Home Industries classes, vouchers may be awarded instead of cash.
All championship winners will be photographed on show day with their respective cups, but the cups will not be removed from the show.
All exhibits must be the sole work of the exhibitor.
Classes 2-17 will compete for the Perpetual Challenge Cup, which will be awarded by the judge & presented by the Caffrey Family, Oldcastle.
1st Prize: €15, 2nd Prize: €10; 3rd Prize: €5.
